Teachers - Sam Roach & Ebony Odette Alexander
Support - Karon McKnight

PE:

P.E will now take place twice a week. P.E days are Wednesday and Friday.  Children should bring suitable kit to school in a named bag and change in class.  Kit is available for sale from the office.

Dinner money:

All monies should be paid in full on Monday. Please ensure it is in a clearly labeled, sealed envelope.

Book bags:

Book bags need to be in school every day.   Pupils do not need pencil cases, rulers, calculators or any other items from home.  Book bags are for books and homework only.

Healthy schools:

Children are encouraged to bring in a bottle of water to drink throughout the day.  Please ensure this is clearly labeled with your child's name.  Sucker or flip top bottles are best as they are less likely to spill.
Fruit is provided for morning break.  Only healthy snacks may be consumed during this time.
Please do not send fizzy drinks, sweets, nut produce, chocolate or biscuits in lunch boxes.

Topic:

Our topics this term are 'May the force be with you' and 'An eye on London'.  During these topics we will be learning about forces, pushes and pulls, wind up toys, Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole, hospitals and healthy eating.
We will be visiting Lavender park on Friday 25th September to investigate pushes and pulls.  'Florence Nightingale' will be visiting us on Tuesday 13th October.

Please support your child at home by ..............
-Reading with your child regularly.
-Talking to your child about their school day.
-Ensuring your child has completed their homework.
-Ensuring your child is prepared and organised for the school day.
-Ensuring your child arrives promptly for the start of the school day and has good attendance.
-Ensuring your child is well rested and has eaten a healthy breakfast.
-Encourage your child to write for a range of purposes - letters, stories, lists etc.
-Help your child research topics - online, at the library etc.
-Encourage your child to use number - count objects, sing counting rhymes, play number games, add small numbers etc.

CRB:

If you would like to help out in class or join us on a trip you will need to be CRB cleared. This is a simple process and just requires you to fill in a form (we can help you with this) and bring in proof of identity.
