Childcare

As an extended school, Liberty Primary School offers parents and carers of Nursery children additional childcare facilities.

Our aim is to provide affordable childcare within the setting of the school, where you can leave your child in the capable hands of our highly trained and competent staff.

Our Nursery Staff will ensure that every child’s developmental and social needs are met via the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The EYFS is divided into 7 areas of learning. The 7 areas that early years learning concentrates on are:

  • communication and language
  • physical development
  • personal, social and emotional development
  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding of the world
  • expressive arts and design

Teaching is often done through play, where the child learns about subjects and other people through games.

Staff will ensure that your child has every opportunity to explore and develop, by providing a varied and stimulating environment, that is fun and exciting, as well as confidence building. We also encourage children to be independent and a Snack Bar system is part of our daily routine. Here children are encouraged to “help themselves” by cutting up and sharing fruit and pouring out their own drinks, also by tidying –up and washing up after themselves. Children are also encouraged to set up at lunch time as well.

All children are valued and their individual needs will be regularly monitored and plans adapted accordingly to ensure that there developmental needs are being constantly met.
All parents are welcomed and their opinions are always respected and valued. Staff will do their upmost in keeping you informed of your child’s progress.

Children sit together at lunchtime and have a hot school meal each day, the cost of this is included in the childcare fees.

Prices for Childcare are £16.00 per daily session from 8.45am until 11.45am or 12.15pm until 3.15pm
