Lunches
Children are welcome to choose between a packed lunch or a school meal for lunch.
All children in Reception and Year 1-2 are eligible for free school meals. From year 3 upwards children whose families meet the criteria are entitled to free school meals.
Free School Meals - Eligibility
If your child is in Key Stage 2, they may be entitled to free school meals if you meet any of the following criteria:
Income Support
income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit (your household income must be less than £7,400 a year after tax and not including any benefits you get)
Please speak to the school office if you think your child is entitled to free school meals.
School meals are priced at £2.40 per day.
Special dietary requirements can be catered for. We operate a zero nuts policy.
We encourage children to bring in water bottles and actively encourage children to drink water throughout the day.
Under the Fruit in School scheme, children in Early Years and Key Stage 1 will receive a piece of fruit each day free of charge.
Years 1-6 can bring in a piece of fruit from home for their morning snack.
Sweets, fizzy drinks and energy drinks cannot be brought into school.
