Home Working

Below you can access home learning for each year group. Please bear with us while we try to make accessing the work as simple as possible - the teachers are busy re-planning work which can be completed more easily at home. Due to the huge demands on the website provider there are currently a number of technical issues making it difficult to upload files and alter content at certain times in the day. If you are finding it difficult to find content (or the folder says 'awaiting content') please log on to Busy Things

Thank you for your support.

For children that work with Mr Tope there is a personalised activity pack available form the front office.

Below is some information about different websites offering great opportunities for home learning.

Busy Things is a brilliant website which has lots of activities linked to the curriculum. Your children will have used some of them in school, and now they are all available for home use.

The games and activities are organised into key stages, year groups and subjects. The children are free to explore any of the content, regardless of which year they are in.

To log in to Busy Things please follow these steps (if asked check the box and continue without Flash):

  1. Go to www.busythings.co.uk
  2. Click Log in (top right)
  3. Click on the Log in Partners LGfL
  4. Click on Normal USO log in
  5. Type the username and password (this should be in your child’s reading record. The username ends with .315)

This fantastic site is free to use but does require you to sign up with an email address.

Once signed up you can access hundreds of high quality e books to read. There is even the option of having it read to children and some books have activities to complete at the top of the page. Sign up for free at home.oxfordowl.co.uk

BBC Bitesize is another free site filled with activities linked to the curriculum. Visit www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/primary and click on Key Stage 1 or 2 where you will find curriculum subjects and activities. The phonics, spelling and grammar activities are particularly useful.

Phonics play is especially good for Early Years and Key Stage 1. The children may be familiar with some of the games and activities as they are often used in class. This is usually a subscription site but they are currently offering free access with the username : march20 and password: home. Log in at new.phonicsplay.co.uk/
