Netball Success!

On Wednesday our netball team competed in the Morden Cluster netball competition. From Year 6,  Kayden, Nathan, Alan, Linda, Lakysha, Raisa and Siana all did Liberty Primary School proud as they went on and won the competition.

There were 9 schools at the competition and Liberty played three group matches, which they managed to win 5-0, 2-0 and 5-0 again!

They then progressed to the semi-finals which was a close game, but Liberty continued to work together as a great team, encouraging each other and managed to win the game 2-0.

They then played in the final which was very tense. Having missed multiple chances, with two minutes to play we finally made the breakthrough and scraped to victory winning 1-0.

Every player in the team played their part, and all contributed by scoring at least one goal each. They also demonstrated terrific defending throughout, which was evident by them not conceding a single goal.

Aside from the winning, the way the children represented Liberty Primary school was equally if not more impressive. Their teamwork, sportsmanship and the maturity they showed was impeccable. They were a real credit to the school.
