UNIFORM

We believe that a uniform is helpful in establishing good standards of appearance in school and that it helps our children to develop a sense of identity, pride and community.

We have a PE uniform, as children are asked to come to school in their PE kits on their PE days.

We ask that all clothing items are clearly marked with your child's name to ensure that they can be returned to you if they are mislaid.

Children should come into school every day in their uniform.

Children should not wear jewellery with the exception of plain stud earrings for children with pierced ears and a watch for Key Stage 2 children.  We cannot take responsibility for items worn to school which may get lost.

All children are given a book bag when they join Liberty Primary School.  Replacements are available at a cost of £4.00.

Pre-loved Uniform Sales

We welcome donations of school uniform that your child has grown out of and endeavour to hold pre-loved uniform sales every half-term.  This helps everyone – other parents can purchase uniform at a heavily discounted rate, the school receives additional contributions to the school fund, and you have an eco-friendly way of discarding unwanted clothes.

To facilitate parents having access to school uniform in between the half-term sale events, we are able to supply items on request. Please email liberty@liberty.merton.sch.uk and enter ‘Pre-Loved Uniform’ in the subject line advising us of your exact requirements e.g. school jumper age 5-6, PE  polo shirt age 7-8.  We will try to action your request within 5 -7 working days and the items will be sent home with your child in a carrier bag. Please ensure you make the required donation via ParentPay to the ‘Pre Loved Uniform’ payment item.  We ask for a minimum donation of £1 for all items —all money raised through this avenue goes towards enhancing the children’s curriculum experiences.
